NorCal GSP Rescue

I had the pleasure of meeting Coconut yesterday, and I must say he is quite adorable. It was difficult to believe that he is 11, because at first glance I would have pegged him in the 5 - 6 year old category. He’s slender, nimble on his feet, and very very busy.

I was transporting him to his vacation foster home, where he’ll be for short time while his foster peeps are out of town. Since he has a tendency to want to help drive, I decided to secure him in the back - good thing, because at first he did try to join me up front! For the two hour drive, he stood the entire time, alternating looking out the windows and wagging his tail happily. He was quiet the whole trip, but attentive to everything.

When we arrived at his vacation home, he couldn’t wait to get out and begin the meet and greets. First, the lovely lady of the home. Then, one by one, the other dogs in the home. Lastly, he was invited in to the huge fenced back yard where he immediately began running around, exploring and playing with his “cousins.”

If you’re interested in a smallish friendly energetic male, don’t rule him out because of his age. He’ll give you a run for your money any day of the week!
