Ticker is the newest boy on the block. He is just settling in and has severe kennel cough, so there will be more pictures once he’s feeling better.

Penelope had her first trip to the river on Sunday. She loved the water, but we couldn’t let her off leash. She has poor recall, and would run off chasing dragonflies.
Penny got her staples out from her spay on Saturday. She’s feeling a whole lot better! We thought she was awfully mellow for such a young GSP…but that was then. Now she’s high energy and loves chasing birds and lizards all day.

Each year brings new challenges for NorCal GSP Rescue. We have been overwhelmed with the number of dogs needing to be rescued, and our veterinary costs are rising. At any given time, there are scores of German Shorthaired Pointers in shelters at risk of being euthanized. We have limited foster homes and funds and, unfortunately, can’t save them all.
